Saw Dr. M today he says that my lung sounds great. We scheduled my next follow-up CT that will be on 11/12 at 9am. I can't eat for 4 hours before but I can have my coffee though. Then I will see Dr. M again in 6 weeks on 12/9!

Just a warning there are a lot of pictures below

when the baby pees all you do is unsnap the pad and than snap on another one.

I am hoping that I will be able to also try the biodegradable Bio Soaker inserts! If I get the chance to try them I will let you know how they work!

Kind of nice to have something else to talk about other then cancer!

On vacation!

Well my vacation started today! I have nothing really planned. I do however need to go in on Monday but it is only a half day.

I got a great surprise in my office today after lunch. I was working on trying to get a few things done, when Marcy came in and I noticed a box on the edge of my desk I was curious where it came from and who it was for. Well the package was from an old coworker Regina who is now teaching English in Japan. What a great surprise! Thank you Regina!

12.5mg prednisone

I saw Dr. C tonight. I am down to 12.5 mg of prednisone. My left lung continues to show improvements, he thinks that it is the cold that I finally got. We are going to start decreasing my prednisone. He wants me to get the Flu and H1N1 vaccine before the end of October. They didn’t see a fracture in my rib but he said that it might take some time to show up, when it heals you will see some calcium build up. I see him again mid November.

Chest CT update

I called Dr. M's office today to make sure that they got the CD with all of my chest CTs on it. They said that it is still scar tissue in the lung acting up. The mass does not appear to be getting large if anything it has gotten a little smaller. I will still have a full body CT in November. I see Dr. M as scheduled on October 28.

I see Dr. C on Monday October 12th. Hopefully we will decrease the prednisone.

Better late than never

I meant to post after my appointments on Wednesday but we did not get home until 8pm!

Well here it is from my Dr. M appointment. He thinks the pain that I continue to have is a fractured rib. He thinks from coughing but I have not for as long as it has been hurting. I think that maybe it got fractured (if that is really what is wrong) from the girls jumping on me. I see him again on Oct. 28 and I think at that appointment we will schedule my next full body CT. We went over my bone density test and what it means that I need to make sure that I take my calcium supplements. On the test results there are 3 sections red, yellow and green. My spin is in the Yellow field which means that it is astopinia and my hips are in the very low green.

Well Dr. C was ok; we upped my prednisone to 15mg. We reschedule my chest CT and PFT, originally I was supposed to go in on Oct. 12. I went in for my chest CT this last Friday. On Monday I go in for my PFT. Well that is about it.

I better get going so that I can fold my mound of laundry on the floor and finishing washing the rest.
